Biography

Marianna’s main research interest is the IoT (Internet of Things) applications in the global supply chain. In order to achieve interoperability and efficient operations among multiple stakeholders of the transport and logistics sphere, plenty of enterprises are offering digitalization of processes, Big Data Analytics, AI technology and blockchain solutions. However, not all the available digital solutions prefer transparency and open architecture of the technology. Marianna’s focus is on the blockchain applications for the IoT data collected from the cargo and asset monitoring smart devices in ocean freight and inland cargo transportation. Marianna’s favorite geography is China and her research refers directly to the Chinese implementation of the “Made in China 2025” policy, which among others, supports the establishment of the Digital Silk Road.

From 2018, Marianna is representing a Swiss IoT solution provider in diverse international standardization bodies and institutions as the Head of Regulatory Affairs. In the free time, she sings in a rock-band, teaches Hebrew and volunteers in the Junior Chamber International.
